Studio Velo is owned and run by retired international, and two-time Commonwealth Games cyclist, Gareth Montgomerie. Studio Velo provides two floors of retail space featuring a range of brands carefully selected to meet your needs, as well as a state-of-the-art workshop.

When we’re not in the shop, we’re taking advantage of the world class riding that can be found in Dumfries and Galloway. Be it heading out on the road and spending time in the quiet lanes local to us on the Solway Heritage Trail or South West 300, or heading north from the shop to Gravel around the unparalleled Galloway Forest Park. That’s not to mention the world-beating Mountain Biking on our doorstep; the 7 Stanes. We’re perfectly located - just off the a75 - between 4 of the southern Stanes; Kiroughtree, Dalbeattie, Mabie and Ae forests, meaning we’re always close by when you need us.

We’re main stockists of many of the world’s leading bike brands. Our range includes include Yeti, Orbea, Scott, Cannondale, Whyte, Colnago and Ibis.

We have an extensive range of clothing and helmets from Castelli, Fox, POC, Endura and HJC to try in store or order online.

It doesn’t stop there, we are also main stockists of several other top end brands such as Wahoo, Burgtec, Hope, Shimano, SRAM, Speedplay, Crank Bros, Peatys, Ride Concept, Maxxis, Michelin, Hutchinson, Exposure, Stages, Vittoria, Campagnolo and Rocket Espresso.

We strongly believe in looking after our staff and continuing their professional development. We all ride and race together on a regular basis across Dumfries and Galloway and further afield.

Our staff team ride and race on Road, Mountain Bikes, Gravel, Bike Packing and Triathlon, meaning we are here to take care of all your cycling needs.
